Delicious! The steps take time, but not too difficult overall. For some reason, I’ve had difficulty with cakes being too dry, but this recipe changed that! Tender cake! The tartness of the blackberry compote is well balanced with the sweetness (but not too sweet) of the frosting. I’ve done meringue buttercreams in the past and have not liked them, but this one is outstanding! While making it, just give it time…when you think that you may have messed it all up, just keep the mixer on - it will come together (again, I’ve successfully made them before, and I know that it takes time, but I almost doubted it). Truly delicious bites with this recipe! (And both of my dogs approve, though, only one of them wanted in on the photo…)
These are so easy to make! I read through the pro tips via the QR code and refrigerated the dough for almost 24 hours before baking (and refrigerated the dough between baking each batch of 6) and they turned out perfect! (The video, as always, is so helpful.) I will say, I was a little wary of putting the rose petals on the madeleines because I thought that it would be like potpourri, so I put it on only some and not all…big regret - I wish I put them on all. The taste difference is subtle, but the petals enhance the overall flavor. Do not make my mistake! Delicious!
Delicious! Because of this kit, I learned something about my 83 year old father…he loves coconut macaroons! I will say that I cooked them longer than the top time of 20 minutes (more like 30 minutes, but I was adding time a few minutes each check). The bake was super easy and, in my opinion, fool-proof. They are perfect…the caramelization of the outer side of the cookie is just delightful! I made them slightly smaller and was able to eke out 19 instead of 12 -I really like the smaller size. (The photo is of 17 since my husband and I tried them pre-picture.). Highly recommend!
Took this cake to an early Thanksgiving dinner. The cake was sooo yummy. Many requests to bring it again next year!

I received this crumble crate as a gift. It was such a fun project. The cake was delicious, nicely spiced and the maple and cinnamon frosting was awesome. It was packaged beautifully with easy to understand instructions. It was inclusive of everything to make this lovely cake, right down to a small packet of flour for dusting the cake pan!! Thank you, this was delightful!!
Love love love! I must start out by saying I am a home baker - never had any classes and have very limited technical skills. I bought this kit because I thought that it sounded really good. Well, I received it and saw that it was a 4 whisk difficulty…FOUR WHISK!!! No way that I can do that! I’ve never made any of those components (I’ve made frosting, but it doesn’t always turn out perfect…don’t get me started on Italian buttercream.)
I sucked up my deflated confidence and tried making them. Not gonna lie - I took it very slow. I made the curd…it actually tasted pretty good! I made the craquelin…it looked like it could be right. Then I made the choux - I was terrified. I found that the video was a HUGE help! After watching, I set out making the puffs. The result? Well, if I had been on a baking competition, the judges would have raved about the pastry - not gonna lie…the cavity inside the puff was large and the wall was thin and durable. I if I had to do over again, I would have baked them the full 25 minutes instead of the 23 minutes that I did.
Basically, don’t let the 4/5 whisk rating intimidate you…and watch the video. My Key Lime Pie Choux au Craquelin turned out perfect and was absolutely delicious (my neighbors on both sides, but neighbors across the street, my parents, my parents care givers, and my sister and her family all agree).

Really easy to make and not a lot of clean up. Everything goes into the stand mixer - wet then dry. This is a recipe to save for sure. Very tasty frosting as well and easy to replicate in any flavor you want. I was able to use a tip for the pastry bag from a prior crate delivery.
I got my first box and made the Christmas tree royal icing cookies. They turned out great! The online video tutorial was extremely helpful and I highly recommend using all the helpful hints for the best cookies

This was my first kit and I was so surprised that it was an easy dessert to make. The pan alone was intimidating! But it was delicious and I know I will try different versions on my own. Perfect for an afternoon tea or after dinner with decaf.
My 12 y.o. daughter baked and decorated this cake all on her own for Father’s Day. The instructions were straight forward and the cake looked and tasted like it came from a bakery. The 6 inch cake is a great size for a small family. We were thrilled with the results and look forward to baking another one soon.
These cupcakes turned out SO cute and SO delicious! I had so much fun making these with my family. The step-by-step instructions made it a breeze to follow the recipe and the pre-measured ingredients really sped up the whole process. Just ordered my third kit and can't wait to try it out!
Super easy to follow directions. I had never used marzipan before, so that was fun. I would make the cake in 2 separate tins to avoid cutting it in half later. The recipe made enough frosting with more left over - so don't be afraid to put a lot in the middle.
This one took a while, but it was worth it. The cookies look great and taste good too! It was fun learning the various consistencies of royal icing, which I had not done before. My cookies did take longer in the oven than listed. I got 14 cookies out of it.
My 13 y.o. had a lot of fun with this box. She baked the brownie bites and frosted them on her own! We love how the kit is well thought out, including tools and a recipe card so we can bake the brownie bites again. This box is perfect for celebrations.
These were so much fun and were delicious! I will add that I did not know what to do with the ganache and I added it to my batter and baked it. Although they were a bit full the accident actually turned out amazing. Once I realized it was supposed to go in the bottom of the cooked cupcake I was happy it was baked into the batter. The marshmallow is a perfect addition and torching it was the best. Although, the torch that came with the kit did not work I was lucky to have one on hand.
Can’t say enough great things about this crate! I am an experienced home baker. These were fun and easy to make while implementing some new tools and ingredients—golden honey and Vain vanilla, oh my! I served them at an office brunch, and they were devoured with lots of compliments! This was my first Crumble Crate. The quality of everything in it was top notch. I have ordered myself a year subscription of fun! Can’t wait!
This was my second baking box. The cut out cookies baked nicely. They kept their sharp, cut out shape, did not spread or puff. However, I prefer my personal recipe for cut out cookies. It has a higher ratio of butter, sugar, and egg per same amount of flour. The taste and texture is better, in my opinion. I was new to working with
royal icing. I would add vanilla or almond flavoring to replace some of the water. I think it would mask some of the meringue powder taste and give a better flavor. After storing in an airtight container for a couple days, the green colored icing ran onto the white icing, leaving a "shadow" appearance. For the time and effort it took to create these cookies, I was a bit disappointed.
